02. Fire Take 5 (S1476-77) (90) – Sound Quality: Excellent. Time: 3.07
The fifth monaural unfinished take in two parts. All sources stop abruptly
around the 1:50 mark and continues on after a few seconds of silence. After two
more quick dropouts, track continues seamlessly to end. Here, the silence and the
two drop outs have been removed. Recorded January 11, 1967. Edited by

An alternate mix of the official mono release with double tracked vocals.
The original track has a gap at approximately the 1:28 mark followed quickly
by another shorter one. Here, they have been removed.

studio in 1968 and rework it with a massive amount of guitar overdubs.
This is the official mix with reverb on the vocals and includes tamborine.

The monaural mix with horn overdubs and different crowd vocals.

13. The Stars That Play With Laughing Sam’s Dice (S271) (1)
Sound Quality: Good. Time: 4:02
The monaural instrumental acetate version. Take is unknown but does feature
multiple guitar overdubs. Recorded June 28, 1967.
14. Little Miss Lover (S265) (3) – Sound Quality: Very Good. Time: 2:19.
The monaural Emidisc acetate identified by the whistling during the drum intro,
sightly different lyrics, and guitar lead as compared to the official mixes. Being the
earliest known version, there is a possiblity that this was recorded at Houston
Studios in Los Angeles, California back on June 28th. Documented
recording date is considered to be October 1, 1967.

The early instrumental in stereo with Jimi And Mitch only.

Sound Quality: Very Good. Time: 1:42
Two incomplete alternate takes once thought recorded on July 6th but now
believed to have been recorded on June 28, 1967. The extended silence between
the two takes has been removed. Edited by Willjamz.
